Very well made

I have a 2015 Ford F-150 and the receiver has a lot of play in it. I got this hoping that it takes the play out of it because when I tow my RV it is causing the hitch and receiver to wear. It seems to do the trick. I have just one suggestion, get two extra nuts from your hardware store and use them as jam nuts. The first two times I towed with this the stock nuts had loosened up by the time I got to my destination. The time I towed with the jam nuts the unit stayed nice and tight.
Big, strong and simple.

We looked at a lot of solutions to reduce the "chunk-chunk" of our trailer hitch when towing our large boat that weighs almost as much as our Suburban. Many were complicated or didn't seem up to the task. This unit is bigger than it looks in the photos, is very strong and dead simple to use. When changing hitches, you simply loosen the two nuts and then remove as normal. After inserting the new hitch, tighten the bolts down again.
There was a beautiful lack of noise when we trailered the boat last weekend. Very, very nice.

I have had an instability issue with my hitch since buying it. All the loud noise and the banging at the rear of my jeep was so annoying and worrisome. I thought about having it welded to stop all the problems, but that is expensive and time eating. I found this item here on Amazon, and decided to try it out. I am so happy that I made that decision. I have installed it already since it arrived yesterday and I can tell 100% difference in all the noise and vibration issues that I was having. Now instead of dreading hooking up my utility trailer, I will be happy to do it. I am so pleased that this product is offered by Amazon and I will be passing the positive information on to others that I know are having the same hitch issues. Thank you Amazon again for being my "go to", when trying to find items that I need.

I have a Rolo carrier which was designed to be pretty secure and tight in the first place, but I bought one of these StowAways to take up any extra slack. It works just like it said it's advertised to work. A word of caution though: Do put some oil on the threads before you tighten the nuts, and don't tighten them beyond 60 ft/lbs of torque.
I also use a very heavy ball hitch when pulling a trailer. This hitch used to rattle constantly and loudly while driving. But when I attached the StowAway Hitch Tightener, all the play and rattle disappeared. The difference was dramatic in this particular application.

Good I guess?

I used this Pro Series 63153 Rambler Hitch Cargo Carrier for 2" Receivers. I only used the cargo carrier with this product so I can't speak to if it really improved any rattling or movement, but I didn't hear anything or feel anything when I drove 250 miles roundtrip with this installed. I can see how some of the reviews note that the nut may get stuck. Mine didn't get stuck but it was very resistant when I removed it so I could see how some of the threads may get screwed up (pun intended). I wish there was a better explanation of how to install this b/c I pulled up the cargo carrier when I was tightening the nuts to reduce the resistance of the carrier natural hanging position on this to help get it tighter. I'm not sure if I should do that or not and if that may be causing some of the threading issues some ppl are having? But, its a fairly cheap option that I'll use with my cargo carrier for sure.
