great tool

I used on 2 night extreme camping trip.....cuts great and seems strong and sturdy(only time will tell) first cut I used it for I messed up and dropped it in such a way that looked like it would damage the blade if not the handle too.....It was fine. I processed wood for both days and it cut so good. I was very pleased with the performance. In the past I have carried the Bahco Laplander(9 in, balade) folding saw and it is a great tool but much more time consuming. Whenever space and weight permits I will carry this saw.

I needed something that was a step up from my folding pruner. I read a lot of reviews and settled on the Bahco Bow Saw and I am very glad I got this and the blade for green wood. I have used this and abused it and I'm sure I violated every rule in the book on this saw's capabilities and handling. I needed to take out about 10 huge holly bushes and this did the job quickly! Okay, I took out a couple at a time, rested between, and knocked it all out in about a couple of hours, including the beer break. Cutting the bushes down was easy; it was hauling them away that took the most time. I didn't want to deal with stumps so I moved dirt away and cut down into the dirt with the saw. No problem. The most I've tested is about 6in diameter trees, but I also used it to cut a 4X4 treated wood post for my mailbox. It went through that in no time! I like how the blade does not get stuck half way in the wood. It plows right through. Next job is the medium Bradford Pear and then the out-of-control black locust tree!

I had huge tree fall and trap me in my camping spot, if i didnt have this saw been a long time getting out might had wait a week or longer for somone to drive buy, tree was allot bigger than saw meant to handle with enough time to care of it.
total beast of a saw

this thing is a beast.
I bought one of these after my neighbor let me borrow his much older yet much better built saw after a windstorm to get to branches I couldn't quite reach with a chainsaw or sawzall. It cuts very clean and very fast for a handsaw and has actually saved my garage from having an 800ish lb branch from going through it. I would venture to say that this is one of the best ones on the market due to the weight and the abuse it's taken around my house already. I've cut up a bunch of branches with it and the blade still looks like new :)

Great and reliable

Great reliable bow saw, get a extra dry wood blade when you order. You'll be glad you did, the dry blade works better on dry fire wood plus the dry blade still work on green woods almost as well as the green blade.
