We use it to PROTECT bread, while traveling

Apparently, most people use this to hold bread on their counter. We have a cabinet for chips and bread, so that's not an issue for us. We use this while traveling to protect the bread, when it's in a bag or cooler with peanut butter, jelly, drinks, bags of nuts, etc. one of our boys is celiac, and the other one and I both have wheat allergies, so we take gluten free bread with us when we go to weekend tournaments, go on long trips, go on day trips to the lake, mountains, etc. Gluten free bread can Ben hard to find, and standard-sized loaves are expensive ($8+ per loaf).
We usually buy 3-4 loaves at a time and freeze them, but we don't have any issues freezing and thawing the bread (possibly because it has no wheat), but I could definitely see this working well for that, too.

This simple piece of plastic is a lifesaver...( bread life that is ) Bread used to always go stale at my house because we would either loose the twist tie or just not put it back on. This bread buddy keeps the bread fresh and also makes it easier to get the bread. Love it.

We have been using this for a little bit now and have had no issues. One thing I do like about this dispenser is that a loaf of break an even be stood up and take up less counter space. Good to have, yes. Necessity, no.

This really is the best invention since sliced bread. The bread stays fresh even a week after it's use by date. Just make sure you slide the bag all the way down as you use the bread so that there's hardly any air coming in. I used to have to freeze bread because it would go bad due to the humidity but no more. Will order another one.
