Best adaptor I've found. Not exactly a piece of cake to work with, but I managed to mount 1920s head and foot boards to a 21st century queen bed frame. (Note: you must have rail extensions on the footboard end.) Everything is attached in a sturdy manner, and the bed looks good. I have wrapped thin foam around the exposed brackets so that my grandkids don't get against them and get hurt.

Works well but needs extra bracing

This works well for attaching an antique double bed headboard to a queen size bed. The main problem, though, is that it squeaks pretty easily once attached. I had to use a wood frame to help brace the headboard to stop the squeaking.
Screws too loose

I'm not terribly impressed, I couldn't get the screws tight onto the adapter. Luckily I had washers (lock and hook) to get it somewhat tight. I was hoping the headboard would be really tight, but it's not very wobbly so there is that. These were easy to set up. Would rate it higher if the screws they give you could actually be tightened when matched with a normal headboard bracket (zinus compakt bed frame). The fact that I needed extra products to make this work is the reason for two stars.

These did a great job of converting our antique twin bed / headboard / footboard set to a queen. If your headboard / footboard has ornamental balls at the feet you may have to cut out the lower portion of the brackets. That is what I had to do.
Quick and Easy Installation

This converter was used to attach an old full-size hook-on headboard to a modern queen-size bed frame. Attachment was quick and required only that I tighten down the four bed frame bolts at the proper locations along the appropriate slide openings. As the headboard sits on the floor, I probably could also have used the #69 conversion kit with the down-facing hooks.
