This pump is standard issue on a popular brand of commercial lobster tank. It is usually good for 4-6 years. Other pumps in my experience last longer. It performs well enough that when they stall or give any difficulty restarting after maintenance, I replace with the same model.

So far it's great. I thought the flow would be stronger but I don't think it's any fault of the pump. Its been running continuously for 3 weeks recirculating a 40 gal reservoir through a chiller and its not running hot.
It's just a touch annoying.

Works well, but if noise is a concern, don't buy this. It will begin emitting a grinding noise after a week or so, and will never go away. But that doesn't degrade the performance at all. It's just a touch annoying.
