Our snake is a ball python and he likes to burrow into the aspen bedding sometimes. This "carpet" provides a nice layer between the glass and the bedding. We have an under tank heater and I was concerned our Jake would get burned when he's burrowing in that area. Construction seems sturdy and well made. Thick but not so thick that Jake won't feel the heat through it. I also like that you get 2 in a package for easy replacement.

Good alternative to sand for leopard geckos(sand is really bad). I see them get the fibers stuck in their mouths when they eat though which shares me.

The reptile carpet worked great and received quickly.

Its a good carpet for my chameleons, keeps the humidity up from the misting and has never smelled or gotten moldy....I think I've only had to wash them two times so far...remember though I have a chameleon who poops in him plants not a bearded dragon...it would be a different story for cleaning then

I really like this carpet! Comes with two pieces of carpet, which you can cut down to size if need be. You don't get to pick a color, which I guess could be a downside to some (I think theres green, brown, and one other color?) I got brown, which is fine because color didn't matter to me! The carpet is really soft and is a lot nicer than the carpet I currently have, it doesn't seem like my geckos will get their claws stuck in it or anything.. which is a problem I sometimes have with my current carpet. I'd highly recommend this. :)
