I finally got a really high quality pair of snaps! I first saw these snips at my electrical engineering internship and I knew I needed to buy some for my home lab . These will not disappoint just spend the money on them they are worth every dollar !

The build quality of this cutter is superb. They fit great in my larger hands and the spring action is firm. These cutters are great for PCB work. They aren't completely flush, but work great for softer metal components like resistors, etc.

A very good quality tool, and still made in the USA. I knocked one star off as the finish grinding work is not up to their old standards. These are listed as "semi-flush" cutters, but seem much closer to a true flush cut to me. There is a place for both, as flush cutters are great but also on the delicate side. A semi-flush cut should have a bit more relief toward the cutting edge to provide a stronger, longer-lasting tool.

They are solidly made and they work very well, but the color is blue rather than the green in the photograph. If this does not matter then they are a good buy.

Great quality cutter, very sharp, smooth cuts, well worth the cost. I have been repairing electronics, circuit boards, TV's and computers for decades and have been finding it increasingly difficult to locate high quality hand tools to replace mine when they fail after decades of use. The local Home Depot, Lowes and Sears have a very limited selection of mostly mediocre electronic hand tools, I know because I went there first hoping to find some good cutters, strippers and precision pliers. Out of desperation I bought a Craftsman 4-1/2 inch diagonal cutter made of cheap, chrome plated steel, poorly finished with semi-sharp cutting edges. The quality and precision of the Xcelite cutter just blows it away. Note that these are not electricians cutters to be used on 14 gauge Romex, they are designed for fine circuit board work and in that application they excel.
