Easy Install For My CB
Secret StuffMarch 15, 2017
I bought 2 of these one for my dash cam camera and the other for my Cb if you like to see the CB installed search for "2015 Dodge Ram Cb Radio Install" off youtube and you will see the cb install.
Works great and easy to install.

Just got two to wire up a dashcam with battery saver. Picked this with recommendation from a friend. Seems to work pretty well as my fuse box is hidden behind a partition cover so it doesn't have clearance issues, therefore cannot comment on clearance. Seems the male connector itself is slightly shorter than the metal connector on the fuses, but it doesn't seem to be falling out after some use. The fuses it comes with, if you put them onto the sockets, there is no clearance between two fuses so removing them is a bit harder, but I was able to wiggle a burnt fuse out no issues. Also another review here mentioned it comes with instructions... neither one came with instructions or anything to indicate which is the original fuse, so I assumed it was like any other tap with the original going on the bottom (closer to the connector), seems to be working okay. Comes with easy to use crimp connector, so you'll likely need one of those crimpers or maybe a needle nose plier (should have the former if you're already stripping wires). Description says it can work with up-to 10 amp fuse, though my 20 and 40 amp fuses seem to work just fine, hopefully it's not a fire hazard or anything. As it's not really listed in the listing, the red wire is about six inches long with one inch for the crimp connector.
Odd little thing I never knew existed, but thank god it does!

Does exactly what is advertised. I popped in the correct amperage fuse and am running my dash cam off of this plugged into the same circuit as my radio. Key on = dashcam and radio come on, key out, dashcam and radio turn off.

Great little thing for powering up permanently installed (or at least long term) aux devices if you don't want an ugly 12V lighter adapter plugged in all the time.

Never knew these existed but I'm glad they do, they save a lot of potential for ugly wiring.

When wiring check your manual but my dashcam is wired with the 12V on the tap lead (the red one) that outputs 12V hot, then the black lead off the dashcam is attached to the metal under my dash that makes up the dash's frame.
Great value with included fuses

My first time working with car fuses so I goofed as my car only has an ATM fuse box. Otherwise, the inclusion of fuses is nice if you don't want a stockpile on hand; a little box of a few low voltage fuses will cost you 5 bucks or so.

I used an Add-A-Circuit to wire a dash cam with a mini usb kit. Works great. Piggybacked off my 15 amp power outlet fuse with a 2 amp. Although fuses don't have a right side up, the Add-A-Circuit seems to, as it didn't get power face-down. Something to keep in mind if you're having trouble. Otherwise, practically an instant install.
Power on demand, wherever you need it!

The first thing you need to check with the modern day cars... is WHICH fuses does your car have,,,
All of my cars except one use this type of fuse.
The car I intended to install this in, uses the mini-fuses. Therefore would not fit.
I did however and up installing it in my truck, for whole other purpose.
Works like a dream.
Simply pull the fuse location you want to use. Plug this puppy in, plug the fuse you just took out into the empty hole, and select a fuse of the proper amperage to go in the outside slot nearest to the power wire that is coming out of it. Make sure whatever you are hooking up has a proper ground, and you are good to go!
