Two months or so in use and it works well. This is not "maintenance-free"! YOU are the water flushing the toilet... so flush with each doggy-doo-donation. Replace enzymes as per the instructions. However, gone are the nasty doggie bags in the trash, and as an added bonus, my kids now think it's fun to dump doggie-doo. (Who woulda guessed?) If you are going to be gone more than 4 weeks, don't worry. Just add water and some enzymes upon return and it will fire right back up.

My primary complaint is that the opening isn't large enough for larger pooper scoopers. You have to tilt the hopper at an angle and hope you don't dump poo everywhere.

This product needs some work, the only way to get it not to smell like you know what was to do the following.
Not use there enzymes tabs.
Don't add water.
Drill 12 weep holes through the bottom.
And most important! is to use Meal worms to digest the dog waste, you will need about 1000 worms to get this unit working.
The Meal worms can be ordered online or at most pet stores.
At this point I can add all the dog waste from my two dogs with no poop smell at all.
Not use there enzymes tabs.
