This is a great bird fed because there are no sunflowers so no squirrels and all types of birds love it. I do sprinkle some on the ground because it is difficult for the morning doves to balance on the feeder.
This will be my 5 bag and I also gave one to my sister for Christmas. She wants another bag also.

I used a large outdoor leaf decoration on top of a planter as a platform for the doves to land on. I sprinkle about a quarter cup of this food on it everyday. The doves love it, but so do the sparrows even thought he sparrows have their own feeder. Oh well, they're all fun to watch.

The main thing I don't like is the bag. I had this on subscription until Amazon recently took it off subscription. In one order one of the bags was compromised so I had seed leaking out when I lifted it out of the box. Not much lost, so not bad. What I really HATE about this product is the seal system. I have NEVER been able to open any of the bags I purchased properly. It is absolutely RIDICULOUS and very frustrating. Unable to use their open&seal system at all. The seed is not bad, but contains pigeon peas, which are quite large. None of my doves ever ate them, and even my pigeon would not eat them. All they are is filler. Amazon did me a favor taking this off subscription. Economically priced, but really not worth it.

I have a lot of mourning doves that visit my feeders. I usually get safflower seeds for them, but thought I would try this. I was happy enough with the quality of the seed, but the doves didn't seem to be all that interested in it. I think the sparrows ate it all. They seemed to enjoy it.

There are big round hard peas (?) in this mix which add to weight of bag but no Doves, other birds, or animals will eat them. They just make a mess under your ground feeder and have to be cleaned up. Not impressed.
