It is the finest all-around mouthpiece made and well worth the price
the chair manOctober 5, 2017
I switched to a Bach 12C mouthpiece while in high school, and continued to play on it at Interlochen and through college. Played semi-professional with it after that. It is the finest all-around mouthpiece made and well worth the price. They will have it forever. Be sure it is an original Bach though, as there are many copies. If it doesn't say Vincent Bach on it, it's a fake.
Bad mouthpiece

Not a good mouthpiece for anyone of any skill. If starting use a 6 1/2 AL mouthpiece.
Excellent mouthpiece

Pricey, but all the Bach products are. The 12C replaced a 15, and now I can consistently hit the high notes on my baritone horn.
12C Mouthpiece

I found two problems with this mouthpiece: 1) The Bach name is not on the mouthpiece--only 12C on it and 2) The shank was damaged. I tried it anyway. I have a tool for repairing the shank so I was able to get that almost fixed. Since the Bach name was missing, I question if this is really a Bach product. However, I like the mouthpiece and use it to the exclusion of the others I have. Being a 12C may be the reason I prefer it. It really helps with the high notes above the (bass clef) staff such as G and above. Because the price was very low I decided to keep it in spite of the damage to the shank and the absence of the Bach name.

I attached a picture of a Vincent Bach 7C that came with my Bach 36 and the 12C.
