Old style Fender products are the best way to improve an older guitar
Just like preCBS

I recently bought this set for a partscaster and after reading some reviews about how they are not as thick as preCBS saddles I use a digital caliper to compare them against the saddles on a 60s Strat of which I am the original owner and they are both 3/64ths" thick steel.
I think some people are judging them by comparing them against reproductions of various eras. So I would say they are virtually identical to actual vintage saddles.
Work on a true vintage pre-CBS strat

Put these bad boys on my 1962 Fender strat as the originals were so corroded from years of sweat and poor maintenance. No issues at all with replacing them, and in fact, not to sound blasphemous, but these are excellent quality. (Kept the originals though... Just in case ðŸ˜ðŸ˜)
Luthier approved!

Machining and production methods as well as materials change over time. However, these parts work just fine. If you want replacements that exactly match your original saddles, you'll have to hunt down a set made in that same year, which usually means buying used, which means worn in and grooved saddles.

I've been using these in my shop for a long time and never had a problem. Measurements are as advertised.
exact fit...

I actually just needed the height screws. The ones that came on the 50's series MIM had barbs on the height screws. The screws in these were smooth, so I just changed out the screws and put the saddles in my collection of parts...
