Weld snapped where the clamp and music clip connect after about 4 weeks of band practice.. had to buy a new one.. looks nice though. Could've just got one with a bad weld. Bach is still the best.

Weak metal screws. I put a band of electrical tape around the leadpipe to keep the clamp from scratching it. The clamp screws appear to be pot metal, not brass. They and the clamp itself will strip threads fairly easily so be careful when you install not to over-tighten.
That said, once I had this mount in place it holds the lyre and flipboard without the dreaded flop to the left or right. This horn has a pretty solid aftermarket leadpipe so I did not experience tuning slide issues like some reviewers have. Their problem may be that the trumpet they bought is as flimsy as every marching lyre on the market.
This seems to be the best setup for trumpets that lack a factory lyre lug. It's close enough to read the music and not weigh down the horn like bell mounted systems.
I'm giving it 5 stars for being the best marching lyre on the market.
