These get fairly good stations ,which the JACK ANTENNA IS A WASTE OF MONEY no chaneles at all ! Only get stations if very close to a tower. The JACK IS BAD !!

When you have a problem expect to get ignored by customer service. Ive had this for 10 years and I have to say as a engineer this is a terrable mechanical design. Eventualy it will leak and ruin your celing in your RV. Mechanical parts are plastic. Once a small O ring fails you get a celing leak. All they had to do is make a rubber boot around the roof unit to prevent water damage.
A proper designed unit is the "Jack" made by King industries. Im tossing this and putting up a "Jack" .

Antenna works as advertised and is very sturdy. Did not opt for extra UHF extension as my roof did not have room when antenna is folded. This model has the internal amplifier, BUT DOES NOT INCLUDE THE WALL OUTLET SWITCH, POWER ADDER. It is correct model to buy to replace an existing unit, using the old power adder already built into RV, any brand should be OK. In my case the old power adder was bad and I needed to get a new one. Without a working power adder antenna will not work at all. Installation requires drilling an approx 2" hole saw hole in roof, then caulking and screwing unit to roof, then sawing parts to adjust for roof thickness. So tools, hack saw, hole saw, skills, caulk or tar and a ladder are needed. It took several hours, having never done it before. Probably would be easier if you were replacing same winegard brand of antenna, but mine was different brand from 1989, so hole size was different.
I don't wish to be negative, it is a well made product with good installation instructions, but installation required some skills. I was confused by the missing power adder, thinking that it was a non amplified antenna. Be assured, it is the amplified model, but the power adder is not included, and the instructions did not mention this.
