Great pickup but not the be all and end all ...
DavidSeptember 18, 2017
Great pickup but not the be all and end all for me. I love how you can turn off the mic and add effects which turns it into pretty much electric guitar. The magnetic pickup clean still has an acoustic tone. Have not used live but would have no hesitation to do so.
Best for the money

Best for the money. Natural sounding. Came damaged with a bad connector on the battery terminal (I replaced it). There should have been a pouch as well and that was missing. I feel ripped off by the seller like this was a return, but as far the SA-6 goes, Its amazing after I got it up and going.
I love this pickup

I love this pickup. I installed it in a 1992 Alverez 5040, and it works beautifully. The Magnetic pickup takes a little bit of the harsh bright tone off of the all koa acoustic and the Mic fills in and makes it sound fuller and adds a lot of the acoustic flavor back into the sound that I lost with other magnetic pickups. Plugged into a Yamaha THR-5A in the condenser model, the guitar is just beautiful to listen to.
Really nice!

Really sounds good in with my Martin D28, D41 or D45.
Worth the Price of Admission!

I wanted to add a pickup to my Martin D-45. I wanted to do it will little modifications to the guitar. I have sound hole pickups in other guitars and I liked how easy they were to add. Because the D-45 is such a special guitar, I wanted to be able to have a pickup that would translate the Intricacies of various tones the D-45 produces when played. The Mag did just that. I can easily blend in the pickup and microphone settings to bring out the best tone for each song I perform. Whether its a hard driving song or a delicate finger picker, this pickup covers all the bases. Don't be surprised if I add this same pickup to my other guitars that have sound hole pups!
