as an Arab I would honestly say it is not as fresh as if I got it from the bakery , but still surprisingly fresh enough to enjoy it !

Sure, 56 pastries sounds like a lot, but on the package instructions say you can store in fridge or freeze too. So in this difficult time with Covid-19 IMO this is an excellent treat: 1) great packing; there's a very firm outer box, another box, also like 3 layers of wrapping plus a tray; pastries arrived in perfect condition and u can wipe down all the packing if u want. 2) Great variety as shown; some are sweeter; lots of tender flaky pastry with rich flavors and different textures. Delicious, I would definitely purchase again; even stored on counter keep well (we don't need to freeze or put in fridge as they are half gone already LOL).

I have bought baklava from several different companies over the years and this is the very best by far!
It is fresh and very delicious.
The pastry is crisp and not soggy, or syrupy sweet like some I've tried.
It arrived quickly, and was packaged very well.
I definitely plan to order again.

Best authentic Baklawa you can eat unlike the ones you buy at a grocery store or sold at restaurants. I appreciate their customer service in resolving issue promptly. Highly recommend and will be buying again as I have done in previous years.

I've had a hankering for some good quality baklava for the last few months. I had a fb ad pop up on my feed a while ago for authentic Syrian baklava made in Syria through a company called Anoush. They were decent, but these Shatila pastries absolutely blow them out of the water. In comparison, these tasted fresher and the pieces were larger. I was really surprised by how big this box is, it's a really good value, especially considering how high quality these are! Usually when I buy specialty food items on Amazon, I realize I'm going to pay a premium to have something I can't get locally. Not so with these. Very generous portions of high quality pastries. I will definitely be buying these again. My only complaint is that I would have liked to see some different flavors(rosewater for example) in the assortment.
