Just OK

The construction is heavy plastic but not very dimensionally stable, so the top may not snap onto the bottom properly. We tried two of these and had issues with both. Personally, if I had a dog small enough to use this I wouldn't leave it out, but that's just me (I used it for ducks).
Inexpensive Shelter for (Previously Feral) Outdoor Cat

The only thing I wasn't thrilled about was that with the rain and wind we get here on the Oregon coast, some water leaks in where the red roof and black house meet. To remedy that, I inserted the entire house into a 30-gallon trash bag and cinched the handle-tie so the opening was the same size as the door opening. To keep rain out of the door, I set the house under the eaves of our house and angle it toward the house.
PS. I found a swinging door at our local pet store, that fits this house exactly--and is VERY easily inserted into the opening--but the cat didn't care for it and would no longer enter! (Oh, well.)

great overhang, great colors

Very good color (darks blend with dirt better), love the big roof overhang. I simply wish that the opening was higher because it rains a LOT of in the Pacific NW and it's realistic that the ground could get soaked or splatter into the entrance.
I'm using this for a cat who just got booted outdoors (he wouldn't stop peeing inside). I'm offering multiple cat house options & locations and will give away the one(s) he doesn't prefer.
I got XS which is a nice size for a cat (and, of course, included a pet bed inside). It won't be highly insulated for the pit of winter, but will likely be a good option for warmer spring/ summer/ autumn days.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND FOR FERALS--READ MY SOLUTION for no back exit

PERFECT SOLUTION WITH 2 EXITS: My small barnhome arrived just in time for cold-weather shelter for a wild cat I'm feeding. I did have concerns about no back exit and was about to cut one in. THEN I REALIZED THE PERFECT SOLUTION IS TO TURN THE TOP AROUND AND ATTACH THAT WAY! THE CLIPS STILL MATCH UP! NOW YOU HAVE 2 HALF-SIZE OPENINGS--still perfect cat size!! Each opening now is approx 6" x 6". Back one won't have an overhang, but I solved that by draping bubblewrap partly over the exit, by shutting the clips secures it.
I can see that the 4 clip joints could leak, and that also is easily solved with 4 pieces of duct tape.
As for the insulation factor: it is made of an extremely sturdy compound that seems like rubber with plastic--not sure. So it has some insulating properties. If we go into sub-zero weather I will cut some sheets of rigid polystyrene insulation and attach it inside to sides. bottom and top. Add a blanket and voila!
I am extremely happy with this solution for my sad feral cat. She has been satisfied living in a cardboard box covered with a 3 mil black garbage bag. Tonight she will be in nirvana!

I bought one of these last year in December, 2015, when I had 4 feral cats - I now have 10 of them (how the heck did that happen??) :) and so I bought another this year. The cats love these 'barns'. Two or three of them like to cuddle up together in these and stay warm. These barns keep out the wind and rain and the sun in the summer. I am very pleased with both of these.
