It is the selling point of the game. Intellivision was going to be good friends with Sears till it found out about there humor policy.
Fun...but not because of the Intellivison games

A few years ago, I purchased a used copy of this game for myself. I had my fun with it and then sold it, but was soon sorry that I had done so and so I recently ordered another copy. Quite honestly, most of the games on this disk aren't much fun because they can't be played properly without the Intellivision controller. It's not the fault of the programmers who really worked hard to make them work as best they could. A few of them are good considering that they were made in the early 1980's, but nothing worth spending hours playing. The real fun here is the interface and supplemental materials, which are awesome. There's a slick arcade / pizza store interface, 1980's music, interviews with programmers, archival footage, and commercials. For a small price, this is a fun history lesson about an early video game system that is well produced and dripping with nostalgia. Sure, you can play the intellivision games or torture your kids with them, but for me the real draw was the experience. Strange as it is, this is the only video game I have ever purchased for something other than the game(s) and had a lot of fun doing so. If you were a child of the 1980s and liked the games of your childhood, pick this up! It's cheap, it's a blast from the past, and you can show your kids what real gaming was "back in the day".
