Unfortunately I received the MA1234 set with an unusable yellow charge hose - no threads on one end. Not the end of the world except CPS would not send me a functional hose! Anyway, these manifold sets are kind of cheap but they work for my home use. It took 3-4 weeks but I eventually got a proper hose thru the Amazon system. It looks like an older hose, a bit dirty, maybe used - who knows.

Always try to inspect purchases within the 30 day period to avoid these problems!

This is a good quality middle-of-the-pack manifold gauge set. As they say, you get what you pay for, and that's why I immediately returned the set I originally bought from Harbor Freight - the quality just wasn't there. HF is cheap, but I should have known better than to try and skimp on a tool like this - but still, I had to check it out. Anyway, this CPS set is good quality, and "mostly" made in America according to the CPS rep. The manifold single-turn valve knobs (one full rotation to completely open or close) feel good and are easy to use. The hoses are very good quality and 72" long, which you will appreciate when working on AC systems. Ball valve shut-off's at the end of each hose is to be noted as well, very nice, a lot of sets do not have this. I was happy with all of the fittings, they are of good quality. The couplers are not what you see pictured, rather, they are 'chrome' plated with anodized blue and red knobs for high and low side, but the quality seems to be commensurate with the rest of the ensemble - almost. One thing the Harbor Freight set has over this set? A nice injection molded hard plastic case for storage. At nearly three times the price for this CPS set, I would have appreciated a case to store it in. Oh well. Overall, a good, solid gauge set.

I thought it is for r134a, but the hose is for r12, had to add additional adaptors dtdo make it work.

After many hours of research, I decided to go with this set of gauges. They are of solid construction and the reviews are outstanding. Unfortunately, My experience was not that great. When I received my gauges I was so excited. I opened up the box to find a broken package taped back together. Not a big deal, I know. Then, the gauges were not zeroed but they can be recalibrated with little effort. Not exactly what I expected from gauges in this price range. Alright, now I can finally use them. I hook them up to my truck and start to pull a vacuum. The low side gauge will not read below negative 8.Problem: Defective low side gauge. I had to get out my harbor freight gauges to finish the job. Take note, you have to pay return shipping yourself in order to get a refund. Even though it was not your fault you received defective gauges!

These guages are made of quality material with big easy to read dials. The connectors attach easily and have an open and close on them so no refridgerant is lost. It has spots to attach the hose ends for neat storage. I would recommend theses guages for professional use or anyone that wants a good American made product that's built to last!
