Just got my pkg with my Meat Loaf DVD and I am over the moon. While this is used, it was in good condition and I can't wait to play it this weekend and enjoy the live recorded concert. I used to own this DVD when it came out but a few years ago the main disc #1 cracked and I am so very happy to have found another copy. Arrived in good condition and in good time for shipping. Excellent vendor, would buy again from them.

I own over 80 concert DVDs (Eagles, Phil Collins, Queen, Bon Jovi, Journey, Billy Joel, Heart, ELO, Eric Clapton, Elton John, AC/DC, and Alan Jackson to name a few) and I love them all. But Meatloaf with the Melbourne Symphony is hands down my favorite. Yes, I know that he's not the greatest looking, and that he sings a little off key sometimes, and that you'll see chewing gum in his mouth on this DVD. But none of that matters. Why? Because Meatloaf puts on a SHOW! The energy level is simply incredible. Meatloaf gives you every ounce of everything he's got in each song. And the band and backup singers are no exception. They sound amazing too; excellent musicians. Yes, all of his hits are on this DVD. But my two favorite songs are two of his lesser known songs. I dare you to watch "Testify" and "Out of the Frying Pan, And Into the Fire" and now come away saying, Wow!

this is a great concert dvd.the band and sound mix are terrific.how many bands can you hear piano and electric guitar playing at the same time.meatloafs voice is very very good.the musicians especially the guitar players are top notch.there are some mild disappointments.the piano player is good but not excellent like meatloafs previous piano player in earlier 90s tours.previous tours showcased the piano playing and improvisations more.also a lot of great meatloaf songs were missing-rock and roll dreams.heaven can wait,original sin,rubber meets the road and my favorite -wasted youth.i see tons of concerts and own many concert dvds.meatloaf in intensity is in a league with bono and bruce springsteen.he shows a passion and gives it his all.what i love about his music is that the songs are long and different from the albums and have tons of choruses.the guitar improvisations in this concert were clear and excellent but as mentioned before the piano impros were lacking.it is unfortunate that there are not many mealof concert dvds out there besides this one.othere of my favorite concert dvds are princes sign of the times, u2 elevation in boston,springsteen 2001 madison square garden and cyndi lauperes first newly released one.overall any meatloaf fan has to get this dvd along with his around the world cd which i wish was also a concert dvd(THAT CD IS GREAT-BETTER PIANO THEN THIS CONCERT BUT ALSO MISSING MY FAVORITE SONG WASTED YOUTH).ALSO WOULD RECCOMMEND NEW RELEASE OF OLD 1992 SPRINGSTEEN DVD FROM MTV.

It was 6 months in the making ... and good things truly come to those who wait. I only wish I could rate it 100 stars .. because 5 certainly aren't enough !!

I have been totally engrossed in the concert on disc 1 since the day I got the DVD. I won't give you a blow by blow description of each song ..... I'm sure some will, and that's fine, because I'd love to read what other people think :)) I just want to give everyone the chance to see it before I spoil any surprises ....

There are so many ways I could describe the overall concert .... astounding, breathtaking, amazing, incredible, brilliant, overwhelming ..... Meat's facial expressions and interaction with the crowd and the band, the way the concert was filmed, the sound and quality of the picture on the DVD .. I felt like I was sitting right there in the front row of the audience the entire time.

I guess I can sum up how I felt about Meat Loaf in one word ...... pride. Maybe it's because I admire him so much, who knows. As I sat there with my eyes glued on him during the concert, I felt a sense of pride, just like when I watched him and Patti Russo sing CHSIB for the first time over a year ago during his last world tour .... he gave it his all, and put on the most amazing concert that I have ever seen in my life. His voice never sounded better ... he was truely in fine form, and enjoying every second of it. Yes, I was extremely proud, and wish I could just give him a hug and pat on the back and say well done !! And I would also add that I'm very grateful ... grateful that he filmed this amazing concert for all of us to enjoy and let us share in his moment of triumph. These songs are classic .... sung by the master, and backed up by, as Meat would say, the best band in rock and roll and the magnificence of the Melbourne Symphony orchestra !!

Now as if the 2 1/2 hours of a rocking great time on the 1st disc wasn't enough, the 2nd disc is filled to the brim with so many goodies, including a hysterical behind the scenes featurette, and a commentary track with Meat describing the songs and show as only he can !!

Believe me, I could go on for hours discussing how amazing this DVD is .... but that's something you need to discover for yourselves. Trust me, if you're a true Meat Loaf fan, this is definitely for you. You will not be disappointed !!

Meat, if you ever read this, all I can say is Bravo Meat ... Bravo !! Congratulations to you, the entire NLE, the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra and everyone else involved.
