This works great with the USA-Made OTC 1123 hub/bearing splitter, and should have been included with the 1123 since it's basically integral to the tool. I suppose that my only gripe with the OTC 927 is that OTC is a bit obtuse with the country of origin for this product (I mean, really... are the bolts or the nuts or the slab of metal with the cut-outs made in China with the bits all boxed in the USA, or am I missing something here?)

Yes, it's expensive and yes, you can buy a Chinese version of this for a LOT less money at Harbor Freight. I'm trying to keep my tool box as USA-sourced as possible, so for me, it was worth the extra cost. This comes with a lifetime warranty (though with all the recent closures and buy-outs of tool manufacturers, you should take any guarantee with a grain of salt.)

Performance-wise, I used this tool to separate a bearing and seal from the driver's side hub on my 350Z and it worked like a charm. If you buy this tool, do yourself a favor and buy the Sunex 216fp 1/2-Inch Drive 1/2-Inch Female Pipe Plug Socket (Made in Taiwan - there are no US-made options that I could find, even from Snap-On.) The socket fits perfectly on the square head of the puller, so you can use a breaker bar instead of a wrench.

I bought this tool to remove bearings from the pinion and differential cage of a passenger car rear axle. It did the job with no problem when used with the OTC 1123 bearing splitter. I give it a rating of four out of five stars, because it arrived with no forcing nut. The tool is useless without a 3/4" fine thread nut. I can't imagine why OTC would pack all the parts needed except this nut. They could have a 5-star rating for the price of a nut.
