The Best Pencil if You Like Lamy Style
Renard Dellafave✓ Verified Purchase•November 16, 2017
Looks and comfort-wise this is the best pencil available if you like the Lamy style. Two flaws are the usual tiny eraser and the unsually long amount of lead fed per click. One isn't enough and two is too long. It's alright with the 0.7mm but the 2 click length of 0.5mm is going to break off too easily.

This is an okay pen, but I would probably go for the rotring equivalent if I had to buy another multipen.
From a collector - ok not great

I recently started collecting pens and pencils again and picked this one up based on some web reviews.
I like it, but I don't love it.
There is a seam in the shaft of the pencil where it screws apart. This is part of the black shaft, not where the metal end meets the shaft. It does not join together perfectly and the feel of the seam in my hand I find somewhat bothersome.
Also the clip wiggles a little bit. As does the tip where the led comes out. It doesn't move around a ton, but it moves enough that it does not feel well constructed or "perfectly engineered" the way some of my other pencils do.
Incidentally I purchased the Lamy 2000 pen at the same time:
Lamy 2000 Ball Point Pen Stainless Steel Clip - Black/Brushed
Then pen does not have the same seam and I like it much better.
The weight of the pencil on the other hand is remarkable. It is very light which feels really nice.
It's ok and I am going to keep it, but I had higher hopes for the pencil especially given the price.

Great to write with, simple and clean

This pencil is and looks great, unassuming and very high quality. I like how there aren't any labels or engravings except for the number in the cap indicating the size of the lead ... this thing is very pleasant to write with, the price is a bit high and there are many other cheaper and high quality pencils out there ... but none quite like this one.
Best mechanical pencil for writing

I use my pencil to take copious notes throughout the day. I've used every solid mechanical pencil from Rotring to Faber-Castell. The Lamy comes out on top. It is extremely sturdy and not constantly at risk of breaking off its tip, as so many other mechanical pencils are. Perfect grip, perfect weight.
