These socks have the quality I've come to expect from Gold Toe. They're tightly knit and bright-white (except for the toes, of course). I wear a size 8-1/2 shoe and don't find the extra sock room a deterrent at all; in fact, I count it as a plus. Before putting on my shoes I snug the excess length between my first and second toe and try to hold the two toes together for as long as I can. By the time I'm wearing the shoe that excess length has spread out to provide comfortable toe-room.
