Spend time gardening, do yourself a favor... these are worth the price

This is the one to get. Better leverage and well designed. Heavy duty and very usable, I have broken almost everything else! I am hard on tools. They go into even hard ground, my yard is mostly clay and rock. Cuts right through roots. Best garden hand tool I have ever owned and I have owned a few.

Received a few hours ago, and have been trying it out on some stubborn weeds. It is amazing. Nice balance and well made. Like the guard. Tried to find the Viking digger, but could not find one. Glad I just got this one as it was half the cost, and will certainly do even more than I need. Very happy with purchase.

This thing is a beast! I took this on my first serious metal detecting trip and compared to my fiskars hand trowel, this thing is a tank! I can't see anyone destroying this thing under normal use. I used to to pry, dig, chop, you name it...buy it!

I would love to give this 5 stars. It cuts through sod with ease. It cuts through small roots under sod with ease. It is ruggedly built to last a life time and It is worth the money. Why 4 stars? The red formed handle became loose and rotated on the handle. I ended talking it off. It still does what its supposed to do and thats what is important to me. I will reassemble the red handle, but with some added adhesive and It will be just as good as when it arrivbed.

I doubted the hype, but this is really an excellent metal detecting shovel! Cuts into the ground easily and the bayonet design slips in and out of the sheath easily.
