The first piece I tried tasted stale and greasy, so I looked for an expiration date, and there wasn't one printed anywhere on the box or inner wrappers. According to Drakes' website, there should be a "best by" date as required by the FDA. Since there isn't one, and the box has three different UPC codes (an original covered by two additional stickers), I'm having doubts that this is an authentic Drakes product.
In addition, the price appeared to be reasonable for eight pies, but that description is a bit misleading, and these are really quite expensive. The box actually contains four servings (according the manufacturer), two pies per serving, with two small pieces in each of the four inner wrappers.
