I ordered two of these the first wasn't spitting the flame out correctly making it hard to light which was irritating!! the second leaks gas making them both useless! Lame

It woks as advertised but doesnt really improve heating time of metal in comparison to standard tip as to what i needed it for..
Red hot in a flash

Yes, it gets hot. The copper lines turned red hot in about a minute or so. Sil-fos flowed like liquid silver. I wish it had a built in striker, but that's not the torch's fault.
Great torch for the price.

I use this in my small coffee can forge to heat treat knives. It works great for that purpose, so much so i am buying a second one to make my forge a two burner set up. It can be taken apart and cleaned and put back together as long as you use thread sealer to put it back together. For the price you can't beat it.

I purchased this about a month ago and began using it last week. I noticed the tip lose and moves up and down, as I change the angle of the torch. This causes the flame to change from high to medium. Just when I begin getting my soldering material hot enough the flame changes and makes it hard to continue at the desired intensity. This doesn't seem normal.
