As described.
Excellent water stone for sharpening a straight razor.
BedNBiskit•September 28, 2015
Does a great job for resetting an edge on a straight razor. It is the first step towards resharpening an old or dull blade.
Great for my Japanese Knives other Blades

Loving this stone so far. I have brought my Knives back to life!! The width makes it much easier to maintain the angle over the entire length of the blade as my work knives avg. 9-12". I was pleasantly surprised that the case was not just a case but that I was able to use it to soak the stone as well as a good base for sharpening.
