Searched internet for advice- - Looks like a poor reliability record

Does not work. No hum when plugged in, green power-on light does not illuminate, no voltage detected on output terminals. Called Lionel today, April 14, and got a vacation message for Martin Luther King day! No way to leave a message. Searched internet for advice- - Looks like a poor reliability record.
