My students loved these felt pieces. They are quite large. I would suggest a large felt board. I used them on a stand-up easel that I turned into a felt board and we still could have used more room.

I decided to get a felt board recently, thinking it would be something different for storytime with my young grandkiddos. They love it and I even find them sticking on the characters while playing alone. My granddaughter isn't talking too much yet, but you can see the wheels turning as she recalls the story. Our grandson is a couple of years older and he really gets into the story reenactment. An oldtime way of telling a story, but it still holds their interest, especially when they have to look for the next pieces to add as I tell/read the story.
