The contractor that came to replace one of my windows sprayed Armor All on the vinyl window track to help the window slide better when opening and shutting. He said that all of the contractors use it for that purpose and that it would work better than WD - 40 on squeaky door hinges, etc. I just bought this - opened it and went around my house to put it on all of the hinges of my squeaky doors - and let me tell you.... it worked amazing! As soon as I put it on the loudest squeakiest door in our house it stopped the sound instantly. It worked on all of our doors perfectly and it was much cleaner than trying to spray WD-40 because the Armor All is more of a thick liquid - almost like a gel in a spray bottle. I went around with a paper towel that I sprayed Armor All on and wiped all of my vinyl window tracks to help the windows glide easier. I would totally recommend this product for squeaky doors, vinyl window tracks, and then to spruce up the interior of my cars and the car tires as well. : )
