Strong swings, worth the $$.

These swings are solid! The plastic seat is a little stiff at first, but a few warm days and swinging, they begin to form nicely in a "u" shape which makes it easier for the little ones to get in them. The yellow plastic mold around the chain is such a great feature with small children, it helps them not pinch any fingers and helps prevent the chains from getting too hot in the sun. Very strong swings, worth the $$.

I am very happy with these swings. I purchased two, to replace the older swings we had on our playground. The chain had broken on one of the older swings (while my daughter was swinging on it). As soon as I took these out of the box, I could not believe the difference. These swing seats are much better quality then the older ones we had. Both the chain and seat are significantly heavier and sturdier. They remind me of swings from public parks, except that the chains are easier to grip. Also, you can easily adjust the height of the swings. Lastly, my kids, who are 7 and 8 years old, and I sat comfortably on the swings. It was nice to see the kids playing again on the playground.
Please note that the swing hangers (hooks) do not come in the box. So if you don't have them, you will need to purchase them separately. This did not effect us, as our playground already had the hooks.

I was researching buying a pre-built swing set or building one myself and went with the latter choice since I was able to build a much nicer set much cheaper by buying each part individually. We bought this swing about 6 months ago. We picked the extra-duty swing because we wanted to be able to swing next to and sometime with her without any concerns about safety. It is the perfect size for an adult. We also bought her the matching regular duty swing. We use the swings all the time and they have held up great! The swings have been exposed to a hot and wet summer. Some of the other items we bought for this swing set have not held up very well, fading considerably in the sun, but not this swing. It still looks brand new! The plastic on the chain is a nice accessory as it eliminates the annoying pinching an unprotected chain can cause. I would highly recommend this product and would purchase additional products from Swing-N-Slide. This is a comfortable and durable swing which will get a lot of use for years to come!

Finally got around to installing since the kids have been after me. My swing set is 8 feet high. These, IF they would have provided a way to attach them to the swing hardware, are about 3 feet off the ground. Not sure if even I could even reach to sit in it.Luckily I bought two....so, I guess it's off to the hardware store for the 4 quick links they DIDN'T provide, 4 - foot long+ extension chains so a kid can reach it, and 4 more quick links to attach the extension chains. Oh, the swing itself seems okay, just give me the parts and adjustability to actually install it without jumping thru hoops. But please, don't make me go drop $25 or more at the hardware store just to install your already premium priced swings.

These are great swings! We ordered 3 of these and will be ordering one more when it's time to replace the baby swing. They have been up for over a year, out in the Texas sun
They have not rusted, tore, warped, or faded in that time. They are probably more heavy duty than the average family needs but they are perfect for us. The swingset gets used daily by my children and the rest of the kids on the street, so you can believe that the swings get abused quite a bit. These also hold a ton or weight. My husband is 250+ and these hold him no problem. I also often swind on these while holding a 2 year old on my lap and have not had any problems, which for me would be having my hips pinched...these are nice and wide!
