Wonderful pellets for birds to get all their needed foods
beedolphinMay 2, 2017
Wonderful pellets for birds to get all their needed foods. Healthy and comes in a great sized packaged. Talk to your vet to see which pellets to get for your birds.
It was recommended to me from a friend

My African Grey loves this food. It was recommended to me from a friend. He likes to dip the squares in his water and eat the soggy. I purchase this as a treat and as food for when I am away.
Harrison's is the BEST!

Good food for a healthy bird

Currently I am feeding my blue and gold macaw Zupreem pellets and fresh fruit and veg. She is less than 2 years old and enjoys trying new things. I have always heard very good things about Harrison's and wanted to try it out. So far she loves these new pellets right out of the bag. I have not fully switched her over as I want to use up the rest of the other food she was eating, but once she is completely out I will be feeding only Harrison's.

Before making any purchase for my birds I always check into the company making the product and do some research about the product itself. Often being disappointed in the lack of information available. That is certainly not the case with Harrison's. Their website is packed full of information about their company and the products they are very proud to make as well as tips for taking care of your bird. You can also find helpful information on converting your feathered friend from other diets to Harrison's

This product is certified organic and contains no artificial preservatives. The bag itself is made out of very strong material and has a zip lock at the top to ensure the product remains fresh in the bag. They do not recommend storing the food in another container. This is a great feature because then you don't have to have other containers to help keep the food fresh.

The only downside is that this product cost more than most other foods out there. But it is well worth it. The most important thing you can do for your feathered friend is to feed it the best food you can provide.
We are hoping Harrison's can help~ Have heard good things!

We just accidentally switched our birds to Harrison's. I hda an old bag, at least a
year old, but sealed, in the air-tight bucket I keep the bird's pettlets in. I keep them in sealed
bags. Anyway, I was running out of the colored Zupreem, the pellet of choice for 16 years, and
I started mixing with the other pellets I had: Harrison's, Roudybush and LaFebre's and another one I forget the name of.

I have tried Harrison's before, but not all of the birds would eat it, although it was vet-recommended,
and it is too expensive for them to throw at each other!
This time, though, they ate it! First one, then another! So I started feeding then the different "boring -colored"
pellets, also thinking about a possible food-coloring allergy that perhaps one of our Goffins might have,
She has plucked and chewed her feathers for 14 years, and we have literally tried everything, even a hypo-allergenic
pellet that none of them would touch. (rice-based) It is so bad recently, (spring?) that she chewed off her tail feathers
and looks skeletal. I was considering a cone, but she has had seizures in the past, and stress makes her worse.

Now I am thinking the Harrison's might help a lot, unless her behavior is strictly nervous behavior (as it seems) or
itchy dry skin (we ARE in CO) which I am giving her Benedryl for when it seems too bad. She has two tail feather growing back. I
am trying not to worry about them or hope for too much. I try not to remember how beautiful she was when fully-feathered. One day at a time,
but hoping for the best. Her names is Bubo (means owl) from the Clash of the Titans. She is a little doll.
