I purchased this as I have switched my parrots from Zupreem to organic food. My B&G loves RoudyBush and the most of smaller breeds prefer the Harrisons small breed organic but I have one bird who just won't eat either. So I took the chance and ordered this bag of food hoping my Hahns Macaw would prefer the larger pellets. To my surprise not only does my Hahns love these pellets but so do the rest of my flock. I will be purchasing a 10lb bag next week for all my birds. Great pellets and unlike other brands (i'm looking at you Zupreem) the pellets actually feel natural when you crumble them. 5 stars for a healthy bird feed.

Over 3 yrs on Harrison's Bird Food and we tried the Pepper for the first time, and our Cockatoo LOVES it! The vet reports she's in excellent health and she has beautiful color and she is the sweetest with the best behavior. We swear by good nutrition. Anytime we run out and resort to seeds or other pellets we experience a notable difference in her behavior. We are big fans of Harrisons Food.

It's no doubt good for your birds if they will actually eat it. My two, a DYH and a Mealy, do eat somewhat, but problem is when they bite down on it, it cracks and pieces go flying and land several feet away from the cage. Some pieces almost whole with just the corners nibbled off. If it wasn't so hard I think it would be better and more palatable to the parrots, but it is what it is and that's why I probably won't buy again. Just too much waste all over the floor.

My Amazon loves their high potency pellets. But doesn't seem to like these ones as much. Worth a try, and might keep the pellets more interesting for her on occasion. But we will be sticking with our regular Harrison's.

My Senegal loves these but only if I crack them in half. If I don't she just tosses them to the floor. Brat! Wish they made a smaller size.
