This is a very good baton for majorettes. As a former competitive twirler it is to light weight for rolls or at least it is for me. I use this baton for teaching. If you are a more advanced twirler and need a heavier baton for rolls you will want to go with the American Beauty (Rosebud) from ABC ie. AMERICAN BATON COMPANY.
