Tough case for smaller golf bags
Vu•July 2, 2017
I travel about two times a year with my golf clubs. I originally had a soft case but wanted to switch to a hard case for better protection. The SKB ATA seems to hold up well during my flights. The case is narrow and quite heavy, so it works better if you have a stand bag and travel light as you may go over the standard weight limits. Because it's a hard case, getting it and out of vehicles can be difficult so make sure you transport with a larger vehicle. Also, it moderately difficult to handle due to the weight and inflexibility of the case, so if you have trouble moving heavier objects, I would look for a lighter case.
Way too small
Richard J Gresham•April 16, 2017
Unfortunately this case is way too small. I have a carry stand bag and the bag only just fits one way with special urging from the packer (me). The TSA lock doesn't lock either. I would return but need it right away.
Very Small & Tight Travel Case
Shawn Fabors•March 8, 2017
I haven't traveled with it yet, but my first reaction is that it seems very durable. My problem is that I have a light weight sky mountain carry golf bag that won't fit into this travel case. I don't know why they made the travel case so thin. So, I need to either buy a new golf bag or return this since I couldn't get it shut even after emptying the contents of my golf bag. Very dissappointing that a standard walking golf bag won't fit into this travel case.
Great if it fits.

The height of this case was great, but it wasn't quite large enough in circumference for one of my bags. Awesome if it fits your bag.
Excellent! more rugged and better built than I expected, label attachment flaw

Better, more rugged and better built than I expected.
This is a tough, well made case. I am using it to transport a heavy duty survey tripod and some other gear.
I recommend this heartily. Good solid closing mechanism, handles, the bottom has 2 wheels and overall easy to handle.
My only gripe is that the tough molded plastic is so slick it is really hard to get tape, labels, etc to stick to it. I can tie baggage tags on the handles, but an address label, for when I ship (UPS/FecEx etc) is very very hard to stick with confidence.
If this had a couple small areas -- like a metal plate -- where I could attach permanent or temp info - like home address, destination address etc, that would be a huge improvement.
I currently need to wrap the whole case in duct tape to get a label to stick when shipping.
Otherwise, this is a great product, and competitively priced.
