I have mixed feelings about this microfiber drying towel. If you've had a genuine leather chamois, then you might be disappointing at the Meguiar's X2000's ability to soak up water on a single pass. A real chamois pulls up more water per pass, making the drying job faster. If you've never used a leather chamois, then you won't have anything to compare it to, and you'll be satisfied with it's performance.
I love the fact that it's soft all the time; my leather chamois is hard as a rock until you wet it down and wring it out. The X2000 stays soft and I know it won't scratch my clearcoat.
My next drying cloth will probably be another genuine leather chamois instead of a synthetic towel, due solely because of the drying power of a chamois.

I love Meguiar's. I'm a HUGE fan of all they're products. From they're Cleaner Series, to they're Detailer Series. But this drying towel, is awful. It's so thin and always needs a wring out. I dried my car after my traditional wash, and it left swirls all over my paint. I know this was the towel because all my other towels left no scratches. The only reason why it doesn't get 1 star, is because it's better than bath towels, an old T-Shirt, or paper Towels. Seriously, don't use those products on you car. If you want a High Quality Microfiber Towel that dries nicely and doesn't leave scratches or swirls in your paint, than get the Chemical Guys Waffle Weave Microfiber Towel, or Viking Monster Drying Towel.

My husband's restored car has a $10k paint job. He is extremely picky about what touches his car. I have purchased him several different towels. Towels he wouldn't touch his car with. This one is different. He loves it. Ive actually purchased him several of these and will continue to purchase them. They don't leave swirls on his super sensative paint. He's a happy guy. This is a great towel. Works great with water steaks when drying the car for the ultimate show finish. He also uses it when dusty or spots. This towel is the best we've found for show cars.
Good drying cloth, just take care of it and it will last a long time!

I love this drying rag, it leaves my car spotless every time and absorbs and traps a lot of water.
One tip for people who claim it stops working after it's first use: When you wash this cloth, DO NOT USE FABRIC SOFTENER.
Fabric softener coats the surface of the fabric and prevents the microfibers from absorbing water. I've washed mine a dozen times already and it still works like new because I wash it separately without fabric softener of any kind.

Love it, except that it disintegrated in the washer.

Dries very well. Soft, doesn't scratch the paint. But... it disintegrated after washing it in a side-load (gentle) washing machine. Very disappointed, especially since I liked it so much.
