Great concept, poorly executed

I wanted this to work, really I did. (Have you ever tried holding something on your lap with your legs tilted down, and using it, with one hand?) It was so awkward and heavy I couldn't pick it up, much less attach it to my wheelchair. (To be fair, the description page on Amazon warned me it was intended to be mounted on the chair by someone else.) When it was mounted, though, its Velcro straps were not sturdy enough to support its own weight and that of anything useful on it. I might have had better luck using it with a chair with longer armrests.
I liked everything about the idea -- a portable, see-through work surface that (thanks to its "edge") stuff wouldn't roll off of, that wasn't specific to one chair. I'd like one that's usable even more.

I need this for my wheelchair, so I can carry things mostly from the kitchen to the dining room. Now I can get my own breakfast and lunch! (Dinner usually invoves cooking, which I have not mastered yet). It is very sturdy. It is very heavy, but luckily, my upper body strength is fine. I have MS, and I am always looking for helpful products.

Purchased for my mom who is in a wheelchair. I can adjust how close the tray goes to my mom. Really helps with spills and her being able to get her food to her mouth without it dropping on the floor.

Love this! I got it for my gait walker so I could carry items when my hands are using my walker but also works great on my power and manual wheelchairs! Works on any medical device I can think of! Plus when I'm not using it on a device I use it with a pillow on my lap on the sofa! I love this thng and have used it daily! Very sturdy and useful for many things!
