Durable and a snug fit for my wife's walker
Big G✓ Verified Purchase•March 9, 2024
I bought these after replacing another brand after only 2 months of very part time use. The other brand basically was pounded on with a mallet and held by friction. After it wares out the inner portion stays in the tube of the walker and can be hard to remove. This set had a bolt that you tighten from the bottom and it created a very tight fit. We have had it for several months. I would recommend this to anyone as my wife uses it on concrete, tile and carpets. So far I am very satisfied.

I purchased these glides to help my 97-year old father-in-law use his walker more effectively. The glides are more substantial than they appear in the picture and are of very high quality nylon. They attach to the walker easily and securely. The glides made using the walker much easier, and work well on both carpeted and wood floors (they did not scratch the wood flooring); we have not yet tried them on concrete sidewalks or other surfaces. The real review, however, is from my father-in-law, who liked the glides right from the start and found that it made it easier for him to use his walker (the glides had replaced tennis balls). He commented that the glides enabled him to go faster and with less effort than the tennis ball-equipped walker, and that the walker was still just as secure to use. The items arrived in excellent condition within a few days of placing the order. Update: my father-in-law has now used these glides on multiple outdoor surfaces (concrete, roadways, grass) and says that they do indeed work very well on all of them and make it much easier for him to get around.
Finally! Glides that last longer than I Do!

I am training for our WalkMS event in April. My goal is to walk 2.5 miles using my walker (front- wheels, back - tips or glides.) My first walk with a very well-used set of glides lasted until the glides started falling apart. So I tried the rubber tips: same story, within 1 3/4 miles the tips had worn through. Knowing this would happen, I had the foresight to order these glides from Amazon. Finally! Glides thick enough and easily attrachable to the walker that they made 2.4 miles with hardly a scratch on them! I will soon order another pair and NEVER use any others! Don't waste your money. Buy these glides!
Best answer for portable walker

It is the best that I have found for the purpose. I aquired it for my mothers portable walker. It beats anything I have tried hands down. That includes the original rubber caps, and the popular tennis balls. It is heavly built nylon/plastic type of material. Was very easy to install. Seems to be a very long wearing. Unlike the ball idea. And, most importantly, it glides on all surfaces very well. As my mother is putting more weight on the walker while pushing, she noticed that right off. An very good product.

I bought a pair of these for my boss because the tennis balls were always wearing out and made it difficult for her to move around. She told me she was sitting in a doctor's ofc waiting area where another patient had a pair on his. She asked him about them and he couldn't say enough good, so when she described them I did an internet search and found them here on Amazon.com. Now that she has used them she wants another set so I am going to buy them for her. On a separate note, my friend just had knee replacement surgery and I told her about it, so I'm going to buy her a pair as well for her to try. What a great invention!
