WORKED FINE WHEN IT WAS RUNNING
JFamiliaOctober 28, 2017
WORKED FINE WHEN IT WAS RUNNING, BUT ONLY LASTED ABOUT 20 USES AFTER 2.5 YEARS OF VERY LIGHT DUTY. USED IT TO PUMP WATER FROM MY KOI POND TO WATER MY GARDEN, MAX LIFT 3'. JUST DIDN'T TURN ON WHEN I PLUGGED IT IN AND RECEIVED VERY "LIGHT" CUSTOMER SERVICE WHEN I CALLED FOR TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE. I PLAN TO TRY A DIFFERENT MANUFACTURER.

I need to say, that this is the second pump I have ordered. The first was dead on arrival.... Called the help line, just to check things out, but it is too simple to be something an operator would mess up. They concluded that I needed to return it, which I did, (thanks for the great policy Amazon) and I received the replacement in just two days. That was today. Plugged it in and it works just like you would expect it to.

What I am using it for it to pump water from my pool into my spa. We are on a well here and the water in the pool is treated, but there might be iron in the well system with is difficult to "clean up" in the spa. Used to bucket the water since they are just twelve feet apart. This really saves the back. But thus, it is used only about every two or three months. Takes one hour and twenty minutes to fill the spa.

I would expect this to have ample capacity for keeping occasional water build up in basements or the like. It does not have a float switch, so I would guess it would not be a good idea to use it where you need to run it unattended.

Just looked at the capacity stated for the pump, and with the five foot heat I was pumping at, it does not have the stated capacity. But again, that is not a problem for me.
Test the product on purchase while under guarantee

Would give 0 stars if possible. Purchased 2305-04 June 2015, used first time 5/14/17, ran for 1 hour and then stopped pumping despite keeping screen clear, pump fully submerged, outlet hose unkinked and clear and on removal of screen, no muck or debris present and no blockage of the anti-airlock hole found. I regret having purchased this pump and not running it on delivery for a substantial period of time, well before the 1 year limited warranty period.
Great Pump

The pump works great! However, I have a lot of sludge and muck that sits at the bottom of a pond water feature, and tends to clog the built-in filter that prevents large particles from messing up the pump. Not the pump's fault, but I have to clean it off occassionally. Just a thought if you place it in a position where it's difficult to get at. Nice pump, and I would buy it again.
Perfect for the job I need it for...

I used it to pump out dirty drain water from a cistern. It was full of lint and mud, but the pump only clogged once and ran perfectly after being withdrawn and thoroughly cleaned. It's a solidly built pump, and has the capacity I need for various jobs, including annual flushing of my On-Demand water heater. I'm very pleased with the pump and especially with the very reasonable price. It's going to be used sporadically, so I don't need a continuous-running level of construction and the savings are substantial.
