Amazing Little Bottle
K. Luedecker✓ Verified Purchase•August 2, 2017
I feel like the name's a bit of a misnomer because this stuff is a do-all. I sprinkle it on my hardwood floors, spread it around lightly with a paper towel, and...that's it. I feel like it's a new floor in a bottle. It fills-in scratches, evens out discolorations, polishes, and even protects. I use it to cover scratches on furniture, too. This little bottle goes a long way. I just did my first floor, my dining room furniture, and our bay window seat with just this small container. In an hour. I typically apply another coat, but these Before and Afters show just one.
TIPS:
- Vacuum your floor and dust your furniture before using. It's an oil-based stain (I guess) and it will trap dust and hair as it dries.
- I wouldn't necessarily use this to spot-treat a floor. You'll notice that "spot" because it will be shinier than the surrounding area.
- There's a dark woods version, too. My floors are medium/reddish and I've successfully used both. The dark woods version made my floors look better, but if I missed a spot, it was more noticeable.

Sorcery, (pretty) strong sorcery

Edit: After a couple of weeks, the stain evaporated and the scratches came back. So I bought some polyurethane spray at a home store, used the stain again, and lightly sprayed on the polyurethane. I took one star away because it wasn't as perfect as I thought. But the polyurethane worked wonders.
When I bought my home, built in 1987, I had the genius idea to put my trash can under the sink, for kitchen waste. My Great Danes thought that smelled pretty cool, so they spent that first day I went to work scratching at the cabinets trying to get to the trash. Ten years went by with me embarrassed over the sad state of my cabinets. Now it is time to sell my home, and the painter recommended Old English scratch cover. It is absolutely incredible! Put on a rag and wipe, no more scratches! Yes, the wood is a little sunken where the toenails were, but you'd have to really look for that in strong light to see it. I'm absolutely amazed.

I had scratched my hardwood floor while trying to move something. I was devastated. I went to Lowe's and the guy in the floor department recommended these color crayon looking thinga to me. I tried and it failed miserably. So after going online I came across this product. So I figured what the heck. It came to my house about a half hour ago and I got a cotton ball out and used it with the product. Well the scratches are gone from what I can tell. So I paid almost half for this product as I did for those crayon thingys. This product took a few applications and some elbow grease but it WORKED!
Excellent product

We recently moved and my oak table and chairs got a little banged up. I rubbed this all over with a clean cotton old T-shirt and it worked great. The table looks brand new. My table is a medium oak stain so I also had to use the RamPro furniture markers for the deeper scratches. The combination of this product and the markers worked fantastic. My table and chairs look brand new. The table and chairs were looking really dried out and now they look moisturized and beautiful. Make sure if you use the marker that you rub the stain with the marker on the spot and then immediately wipe it off with the cotton cloth, otherwise if you leave it too long, you will see the stain mark. Works just like any other stain. Most of the time you have to keep re-applying and rubbing a few times to get it right. Highly recommend.
