I had adopted two rainbow doves and had ordered the mash for which they enjoy. They are however messy eaters and I was hoping the fine would slow down the mess they cause. The fine was too large for them so I grind it up for them and they enjoy it all was well. I'm just not sure of all the rating for the Harrisons but the bird love the food
Great for Hahn's McCaw

My Hahn's McCaw LOVES this food. If she's really hungry, she'll choose it over grapes. And she LOVES grapes. She's been eating Harrisons for about 10 years or so, starting with the larger pellets. At first, I was worried the fine would be too small for her powerful beak, but she loves it and there's far less waste than there is with the larger pellets. I just wish I could find a way to get her to stop throwing her food. It's tough to find it in the bottom of her cage and wasted on the floor. :) Regardless, it's a great product and it ships really fast when I order from Amazon.

We have an 18 year old Quaker parrot who had been on a seed diet his entire life. At the direction of our vet, we put him on the Harrison's diet. We were expecting massive pushback from our little guy, but after 2 days he had fully embraced his new diet. The change in his droppings were immediate and positive, going from a liquid "mess" to firm and well defined (the indication of a proper diet). It's been a year and a half since we put him on the Harrison diet and he still eats it with gusto.
The trick to getting him to convert? For two days the wife and I had to pretend we were eating the pellets with him (I know, stupid, but it worked).

This is the only pellet food my cockatiel, Jessie will eat. My Avian vet recommenced this to me after Jessie broke her wing. So glad I made the change. I have noticed quite a difference in her feather and over all health!
Good Daily Blend For Your Small Hookbill

My cockatiel can be quite a picky eater. I admit, this is not his favorite food (that would be seeds or those fruit flavored pellets), but a cockatiel cannot live by treats alone, and pellets are a good option for his dietary needs. Harrison's Adult Lifetime Fine at first may seem expensive, but it is definitely healthier than an all seed diet for my little bird, and the waste caused by seed throwing has dropped significantly - any pellet that is dropped will later be picked up by my bird and eaten. The pellets are easy for my bird to "crack" and swallow or swallow whole, and he was much more receptive to these pellets than other brands plain pellets.

To help transition my bird from seed to a full pelleted diet, I mixed the seeds with pellets then started lowering the ratio of seed to pellet. The breeder whom I got my bird from also supplemented the diet with Zupreem Fruit blend, and I noticed those fruit pellets were the first my bird would go for, so I kept it in his diet for some variety (which he loves). My bird definitely has responded well to this food and his looks very healthy. A single pound bag lasts my cockatiel quite a while, and to keep things fresh, I put the mix in a large mason jar and keep it on a cool shelf. Overall, he's be doing very well on Harrison's and looks and acts very healthy. I will definitely be purchasing this again for him.
