The steel is very thin but it does the job.
Perfect for continuous brew of 5 gal of Kombucha

I bought this to brew 5 gal batches of Kombucha. however, it does not hold 5 gallons -maybe 3 - 3 1/2. Still, That works fine and I just use all the ingredients for 5 gal in 3 gal and top off my 5 gal keg with water after I rack it from the tea dispenser. Lots of great things about this: 1) it's less expensive and weighs less than comparable wide mouth glass jugs, 2) its spigot is high enough to get a glass under for testing and If I wanted to I could yank the spigot out and stick in a hose barb connector for racking. As it is I just stick it out over the edge of a table and let it drop into the keg. 3) it's stainless, so it's easy to clean and it efficiently transmits the heat from my fermentation heater strip that I taped to the side, 4) it provides a wide opening at top, so your SCOBY gets freakin' Yuuuuge (and kinda scary), 5) the handles make it easy to carry, 6) the label that says "Iced Tea" is NOT on the thing -it comes separately. 7) It's built for restaurant use, so it's sturdy, but not heavy (like a carboy!) and 8) I just like the thing and I'm mighty damn proud of myself for figuring out this superior alternative to glass jugs.

We purchased two of these for church. Wow! loved them! They look great (we did not use the tea stickers). We didn't have to run back and forth filling the drink containers like usual. The volunteers and staff loved them too. thank you
