This Chuck Berry: Definitive Collection is great. Chuck Berry's style of music combined blues, country and R&B together in urgent, exciting ways. His influence on modern rock & roll is huge. The Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Aerosmith and the Yardbirds have all cited Berry as an inspiration. Listening to this collection makes clear the reasons why. I especially appreciated that the songs were presented in order by the year in which they were originally recorded.
