I decided to order this for a comfort addition to my Pelican Maxium X 100. It fits the seat bottom quite well. The grip material on the bottom keeps the seat nicely in place. I first felt when received it looked to thin to be effective for my 3+ hours out. Do not be fooled. The gel inside does actually form to you in less than 10 mins and provides all the comfort I could want with no bulk to effect my stride. I am most grateful to the reviewer who suggested ordering this model over the newer verison which is higher in cost and he mentioned is not as water proof because of venting added. I find this one does wipes off perfectly and is alway dry immediately for put away. Cannot comment on the advantages of the newer model but since the pricing is quite hefty I decided to trust his review.. I am happy to have saved a few dollars and I still be most happy with the results.

This pad is perfect. No, it's not 5" thick, but it is perfect how the gel cushions the " sits bones". I use this pad not just in my sit on top kayak, but in my husband's old car with broken down seats, in my wheelchair and even in the pedicure chair.
I love how it's much more discreet than the other pad I had.
Only downside is if your rear gets wet on the kayak, it doesn't dry.

I rarely give five stars. Nothing's perfect, right? But I was so thankful I went ahead and bought this gel kayak seat cushion. I was able to stay in the boat and paddle 96 miles in 7 days on the Mississippi River. Not too thick to change center of gravity but enough to soften the hard kayak seat. Worked great and never slid once out of place, even with getting in and out of the 16 ft. kayak several times a day. Great value and it is an amazing seat cushion.
