I am disappointed. It did not seem to make much difference. My sitz bones still hurt within ten minutes of starting to kayak. I have an issue with a strained muscle in the glutes. I am going to try rest. Will use the pad next time to see if my experience with it improves.
Not sufficient cushioning for back issues.

If you have back issues, these cushions don't help at all. They are just too thin to provide proper cushioning.

I have to say that for how thin it is, the seat was very comfortable (I bought one for my husband and one for myself). My husband said the same thing.
What I don't like is (on the yellow side - I have not tried on the reverse side yet) it gets very sweaty. If the other side is the same, I'll need to put a towel down before I sit on the seat. It made out of nylon and not at all moisture wicking.

Perfect for Concept2 Indoor Rower

This thing works great on Concept2 rower. Took me a few times to get used to it, but as long as you smush the gel around after use, its ready for your next session. Like others, after about 4000 meters, my seat would be getting numb and sore. With this pad, I generally go for about 8000 meters/40 minutes with no pain or numbness at all. Love it.
