Good product
Sarah•November 14, 2017
Good product, the only reason it lost a star was because the bars on the left side are a little too close together and the weight stack isn't in the right order because of where they can fit. Otherwise it's nice and strong and compact. Keeps our home gym neat and tidy
Well built but didn't get all of the parts.

Overall a very nice weight rack. The welds were nice, base seems sturdy, and it holds the 200 pounds of standard weights that I have.
My issue with the product is that it arrived missing parts. I called the number from Cap on the invoice and the number was disconnected. I then emailed the company. An issue that could have taken five minutes to solve over the phone took over a week of back and forth emails. Cap was glad to send the missing parts free of charge, and I was happy about that. Unfortunately, the company sent me the wrong parts. I'm not sure how this is possible considering that I gave them the part name and number. So frustrating! I'm thinking about sending it back and buying a product from another company.

Great for home use, and for the price.

This was fairly easy to assemble (helps to have a socket wrench), and seems strong enough for home use. Of the plates I have, maybe 25 or so, one was a tight fit on the peg, I am guessing that just the paint on the peg or the paint on the plate was the difference. Plenty of room on this unit for people with home gyms. I see limited reason to use the bottom inside peg as you are then back to picking plates up from floor level. I put a few odd plates I rarely use down there, just to keep them off the other pegs and to add stability. The center peg halfway up the triangle is slightly limited by the sides of the triangle. I put small plates on that just for ease of removal. I have 270 lbs. on my unit and it seems plenty strong for that. I have no problem with believing the adverstised 500 lb. capacity, though I might hesitate just a little to put 25s right out to the end of any given peg. I now have several CAP products, and taking into account the price, they seem very good. Just don't expect commercial grade at a consumer price.
Plate holder.

This thing holds weights.
If it's a bit unlevel when you put it together just put weights on it and it'll get sorted. Otherwise, easy setup, not too expensive, good design. Cap stuff isn't super high quality, but it gets the job done. I have the one for Oly plates too, use this to store the dumbell plates. Happy with both.
