My fail. I shopped for CD-2 consentrate replacement as well for my 1970 Mustang. One bottle of CD-2 Could last many 20 gallon as fill ups with just a couple ounces from a 32 ounce bottle. I misread this ad as the drop down suggests a 12 pack case, then snaps back to the single $16.95 price; way more than the comparables on Amazon or the shelf price at any retailer, so I thought maybe I'd get the case. Wrong; single bottle for a single fill up $16.95. Buy it at your local parts store for $5.99.
This product used to be great but....

I used to love this product(it worked well) and would have given it 5 stars, but my opinion has such changed.
It used to be that 1oz. would treat 10 gallons. However, now it takes the hole bottle to treat 25 gallons. That is 5 times less effective! But there was no 5 times decrease in the price.
I called their tech info and they said that the formula has changed to be less concentrated.
I am actively searching for another alternative as this option is too expensive to use anymore.

Read the Description: 1 bottle treats 1 tank up to 25 gallons

Be sure to read the item description. Many reviewers here are saying that they bought this because 1 oz. treats 10 gallons, making it a very economical alternative. However, this is not what the description says nor what the directions on the bottle claim. The directions state that 1 bottle treats 1 tank of gas up to 25 gallons. This isn't to say that the product doesn't work. I'm sure that it does. It's just going to require more than you would think by reading these reviews.

I use it all the time on two pre 1974 cars.
Let me enhance my review. I should have looked at all the more recent reviews before calling "Dave" in Benecia at the factory. The product is identical to what I have been using for years which on my last bottle was labeled as 0ne oz. / 10 G. It is still OK to use this same ratio according to Dave. The purpose, as I understand it, is pure marketing. I asked Dave if he would put this in writing and he sort of laughed !!! 10/16/2017 Bill Linder

Over many years, I have operated my 1979 Sea Ray SRV-192 Bowrider (in-line 6-cylinder engine) with unleaded regular gas and Lead Substitute. It serves the same purpose that lead served (valve head cooling and lubrication), and I have yet to have work done on my engine!
