First of all it is imperative to mask off the entire car prior to applying the Fabric Guard. If it gets anywhere you will have a tough time removing it. The cleaner worked very well along with a soft brush and I will say that my black fabric top looked fantastic after the cleaning. I allowed 24 hours of dry time in sun for 12 hours and the rest in the garage. I masked off the entire vehicle and applied a generous amount of the Protector (1.5 bottles) and allowed this to dry for 48 hours before driving the car. The first rain I did not get the beading effect that was expected. As it did before the application my top always looks somewhat saturated with water whenever it rains. The product is only half effective.

Recently bought a convertible, my first in decades. It's top looked a little shabby. The cloth also seemed to soak up water, though it actually didn't leak. I'm told modern top material these days is fabric with a rubberized backing. The 303 cleaner does a great job and the preserver leaves a nice sheen and water no longer soaks in. I saw posts about this product on Saab sites I watch and it didn't disappoint.

So if anyone out there has a convertible with a fabric top...and the top is getting dingy (e.g., mildew and/or pollen stains)...this is the product for you. We tried the cleaners made by McGuire's and Mother's and they did nothing. This stuff however works amazingly well. You can buy it in a package form with a horse hair brush and scrub away. And it comes with a bottle of waterproofer that restores the color to your fabric roof and adds a little luster. It is a great product.

Great price and 303 works perfect to waterproof my drop top cooper. It happens to be one of the wettest spring/summer in recent history and the top has held up to the task. Easy to apply just aim and spray! The cleaner wasn't necessary on the top but worked fantastic on the toneau of the truck. Looks like new!

Cleaner and protectant both work really well. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because the twist on caps used for the spray attachment are pretty tricky. One of mine got cross threaded and they are made to not come off, so all of my cleaner leaked out when the bottle was tipped over one day. The product is excellent, just take care when screwing on the caps that you get it right because there is not an easy way to take it off and put it on again. They are designed to not come off (which is great, as long as you don't screw up putting it on in the first place).
