The Holga work great, better then I thought

The Holga work great, better then I thought. The pictures came out good and the developer said it must have been a good one. The only thing is that make sure you have the film exposure (12 or 16)setting in the right position or the pictures run together.
Good for all levels of photography.

This plastic camera works great. I am a experimental photo student and as a first time film user I bought this camera. It would work well for beginners or masters (Xavier taveras did a whole series using this camera I believe), and although it seems flimsy it is a great camera. The only problem I had was that some parts of the instructions were confusing at first so I messed up the set up. It worked for me because then I figured out how to take photos that worked with my experimentation, but it may not be good for others.
Not as pictured!!! Save your money!

What I received from Amazon seller Kellards was not the same as what is pictured here. At a glance, I thought maybe the sticker is just different- but the overall feel of this camera is lighter and more flimsy than a normal Holga. The metal clips on the sides are unbelievably thin, and the clips that attach the strap are like very thin, fragile wires. (Thinner than tiny paper clips.) I put in a roll of film to try it out, and that is currently rattling around inside, because the film compartment seems to be slightly too big. The worst thing is, some of the moving parts on this camera do not move readily. (I can't get the cloudy/sunny setting to move AT ALL.) If you are familiar with Holgas, you will know that part of their charm is their cheapness and they often vary a little from camera to camera, making them a little unpredictable. These inconsistencies go well beyond what is fun and quirky. The store offered only a partial refund through Amazon if I take this somewhere to mail it back to them. Not a good experience.

Awesome concept! A "toy" camera with a campy following.

I love this medium format camera because of its inherent cheapness. The photos produced with this camera are fun surprises, and experimenting with it is great fun for me (an amateur "photographer" and enthusiast with no formal training other than YouTube).

Though the 120 film and developing can get a bit expensive, the quality is great and the creative possibilities are endless.
A GREAT WAY TO USE ALTERNATIVE PHOTOGRAPHY

The Holga cameras have been around for years and have always been used for lomography photography. The main objectives of the Holga camera is that it takes pictures in which you will most likely not know how it is going to come out. At a price of $25 this is a must have for photo enthusiasts and professionals who want a different experience behind the camera. The lens and body of the camera is made entirely of plastic except for the two metal bars on the side in which allow the user to open and load film.

Included in package:
-hold camera with plastic lens attached
-lens cap/cover
-neck strap
-instruction manual

Pros:
-cheap
-new experience with photography
-you never know what you are going to get
-comes with the camera body, lens attached to body and a neck strap
-can easily use 35mm (instructions are included in manual in how to adjust this) or 120mm (medium format film)

Cons:
-feels cheap
-plastic lens distorts image so you never know how it is going to come out unless you get the film developed

Conclusion:
Buy it. It is well-worth the $25 to experiment with.
