I recently decided to shave my head and was looking for recommended products to protect my newly bald pate during and after shaving. HeadSlick Shave Cream received very favorable reviews and so I bought some together with the Glossy Moisture Lotion. The Shave Cream is everything that I had hoped for: I use it on my head and face and it works just great! A little goes a long way and I will be getting some more when I run out. For me, the Shave Cream is a much better product than the Moisture Lotion, which is OK but nothing special.

Wanted to begin shaving my head so I did a lot of research on which products to use. Most sites noted that you should not use a regular shaving cream. HeadSlick was recommended by a few sites so I decided to give it a try. After jumping out of the shower and leaving my head wet I squeezed out a small dime-size portion and applied it. It lathered up like it was supposed to and easily covered my whole head and neck. I started to shave and my razor glided across my head--no nicks or irritation, even when I shaved the same area against the grain of my hair. Also does not leave a lot of gunk between your blades (a good exfoliant helps with this--I recommend HeadBlade HeadScrub). I have used this product for every shave over the past 2 weeks and I will definitely continue using it every time I shave (in fact I just purchased another bottle to keep in reserve). This is a great product.

I've been a Headblader for 15 years and I can not speak more highly for this product! I use it religiously on my head as well as face.

If I had any thing negative to say it would be that the protective covering under the cap can be infuriatingly difficult to pull off on a new bottle, and you can forget trying to do it with wet hands. The pull tab is just too small and the glue is just too tough. As such, I always have to puncture the cover and peel it back.

Also, although it's improved throughout the years, the consistency of the gel can vary from batch to batch. Sometimes it's a perfectly smooth white cream/gel, and others times it seems clear-ish with white grains. Please note, however, that this does not affect its effectiveness whatsoever. It's just odd.

All that having been said, if you HeadBlade, you should absolutely be using their HeadSlick!

My 1st time shaving my head and this product is amazing. I had 3/4 inch hair and using a Derby disposable straight razor for the 1st time and was very impressed. I ended up using more than the recommended amount but that is due to purely length of hair and the fact that I am a new to using a straight razor. A few nicks and gouges, again due to newness with a straight razor, it is extremely smooth and not overly foamy like anything from a can. Followed up with Head Lube for an unbelievable 1st time experiance.

I have an extremely thick, course beard and have struggled trying to find the right shave gel. Head slick is the best i can find. Doesn't irritate my skin, and the consistency is so slick my razors last longer. It has a very faint menthol smell, but dissipates quickly.
